Another 150 innocent men women and children killed in 8 car bombings in Iraq today. The worst bomb killed 108 people. What a disaster this so called mission of mercy has turned into. We should be ashamed of ourselves for letting it happen.

It is a very very sad state of affairs. I agree on the pulling out it would only leave the people there a worse mess than they had before. Oh how the bully boys should be answering for this one!

are the British soldiers in trouble?.. if we cant trust the Iraq police.. who do we trust?.. and should we take this opportunity to pull out? The place is rotten to the core. Partly caused by us and the Americans and partly due to the years of Sadam being in charge and giving all of the power to the sunni mulims. Although Sadam was an evil dictator and had to go (if for nothing else then for his treatment of the Kurds) it is fairly easy to see what he was up against with extreme Islamic factions in his country. Through his heavy handed tactics (and financed by us in the west)he controlled this. I must make it clear right now that I am not a fan of Sadam and his civil rights record but what was once a secular country with free worship for all religions is now being turned into an extremist Islamic country run by religious maniacs. We went to give them freedom and we are ending up doing almost the exact opposite. So in answer to your question Greg ,I don't think it will make any difference whether we leave now or in 5 years time.Basically we have completely messed up and are going to be responsible for the deaths of 20 times more people that Sadam ever was. Once again I say SHAME ON US .
