Some of us might think that George has brought his early demise on himself but it must be remembered that alcholism is an illness so I think we should remember him as being one of the greatest footballers the world has known. I thought this verse might be apt Pray dont find fault with the man who limps Or stumbles along the road Unless you have the shoes he wears Or struggle beneath his load There may be tacks in his shoes that hurt Though hidden from your view For the burden he bears placed on your back May cause you to stumble too Dont be harsh with the man who sins Or pelt him with words or stones Unless your sure, yes doubly sure That you have no sins of your own Dont sneer at the man who is down today Unless you have felt the blow That caused his fall or felt the pain That only the fallen know You may be strong but still the blows That was his if dealt to you In the self same way at the self same time Might cause you to stagger too. Died today RIP George

reg that was lovely and I agree about the alcoholism and the illness thing. I so wish more people would hate the disease and not the person who suffers with it.
George Best was a star - a lovely gorgeous talented and skilled person who entertained millions - his famous statement - : "I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.- certainly made me laugh.
rest in peace gorgeous man

A toast to Besty #beerchug# Cheers Georgie Dont be sad my friend I must admit that I was lucky enough to see the 68 final it was fantastic and left me with unforgetable memories but you are now able to relive all this mans qualities on video and celebrate the life he had. I also had a drink with Bestie at the Victoria ground and the best tribute you could give to him is to have a pint and toast the best footballer the UK has produced. Cheers R
