I thought you needed to have two opposing players between the goalie and the ball point at which the ball is kicked to you.

you need a goalie and a player from the other team to be between the opponent before the pass is made from another from the opponents team..except when you are in line with the opponent as the ball is kicked, but if another opponent is technically offside, but not interfering with the play nor could be part of the first players intentions on trying for goal, but if that second opponent then gets behind the first opponent who still has the ball and wants to pass back to the second player... or if the ball goes to the goalie but he does not catch it and fumbles it to the opponent who might be standing in front of him but with no other players behind the ball then he is not offside and can score if he can hit the ball in the right direction but if it knocks off him to another opponent who does not have the goalie and another player between him and the goal then it is still offside or not, if the linesman decides that it is not and the ref cant see without his glasses...
