I live in a village and where possible have always tried to support the local traders however am starting to lose patience and lost it big time this morning with the post office,
went in with parcel for a guaranteed next day delivery - get there at 11.30 big queue because one of the staff is talking to the postie whilst his wife sees to customers. 15 mins later get to counter to be told "sorry we are on half day closing (who the f has half day closing anymore) and the last post for guarateed delivery is 11.30." but I was here before 11.30 ah but you didnt leave enough time to get served by 11.30.
OK OK this is a birthday present for a little boy who will be upset if he doesnt get it tomorrow - any chance of getting it through (bearing in mind I can see the postman collecting the stuff is still there chatting). No not our problem
so ring parcel force yes madam no problem would you like us to send someone to collect it from your house - phew sorry but I wont be using that poxy post office again.
grrrrrrr rant rant
ps the butcher does nice chops though
