Thought we could help each other out with some of those useful tips you see in magazines. Putting your child in floor cleaning clothes as in the pic posted by toast would be one such thing.
My contibution is: Onions - when cutting them wear a pair of sunglasses its stops so much of that stuff getting in your eyes.
p.s. you also can't see much and might drop them on the floor, cut the end of your finger off and end up with very unevenly chopped onions but no tears yay

The number five is the best. It goes all round the houses before you reach your destination, and it doesn't seem to matter where you are actually trying to get to......but that's Cambridge for you. However, don't try the same route on a bicycle. Perilous.

the best way to stop you eyes from being sore when peeling onions is to wet everything in cold water before hand,that includes your hands,onions,knife and chopping board, if you are doing several onions, have a bowl of cold water at hand to put in you onions after peeling. i hope this helps

squeeze a lemon into a half full bucket of plain water... use this to wash windows... no smears..
