We have a tradition in Sweden the 13 th of december we celebrate the italian saint Lucia. Kids dress up and sing. The nobel prize winners used to be woken up by a "Lucia parade". But one year one of the winners got so scared because he thought he woke up in heaven and that the girls in blonde hair that sang so beautifully were angels. So they had to stop the suprise bit so no one died ;D

It looks a very nice tradition T. In England we aren't even allowed to celebrate St.Georges Day (which is also Shakespeares birthday) thanks the *<%@$*~# P.C. brigade. Sorry to moan in this nice thread but grr.
