Portsmouth look set to add Croatian ace Niko Kranjcar to their squad. The 22-year-old is seen as one of the brightest players his country has produced in recent years and he has long been linked to one of the Europe's major leagues. Pompey are flying Kranjcar to England on Thursday to seal his move. He is currently with Hajduk Split and has been tracked by a host of clubs and only this week French side Rennes had looked close to landing him. However, Portsmouth have now made their move and look set to seal a deal worth around £3.5 million. Another international!!

Portsmouth have clinched the signing of Croatia international Niko Kranjcar.
The 22-year-old emerged as a late transfer target for Pompey after Harry Redknapp lost out to Aston Villa for Stilian Petrov.
A deal was quickly put in place for Kranjcar, who is rated as one of the brightest playmaking talents in Europe.
He has signed a four-year contract with the Premiership club after opting to leave Hajduk Split in his homeland.
Pompey flew their medical team out to Zagreb where Kranjcar is preparing for Croatia's upcoming Euro 2008 qualifier against Russia next week.
Kranjcar passed the medical before signing his deal with Redknapp's side and caps a busy few days in the transfer market for the South Coast club.

Portsmouth have brought in former Middlesbrough target Rodolph Douala on a season-long loan.
The Sporting Lisbon winger arrives at Fratton Park for the season, with a view to a permanent move.
He had long been linked with a switch to fellow Premiership side Boro, who attempted to sign the Cameroon international last year.
Earlier in the summer, Boro tried again and appeared to agree a £2 million fee with Sporting, only for the African to reject a deal at The Riverside.
Douala has now finally clinched his switch to The Premiership after accepting the offer from ambitious Portsmouth.
The attacker becomes Harry Redknapp's 10th signing of the summer and agreed the transfer while preparing for Cameroon's African Cup of Nations qualifier with Rwanda.

why does that upset you? He was one of our top scorers... He's going to a team (Wigan) that will be a major rival this season. He's better than Lua Lua (other striker of ours) Only on loan till december though. God knows what harry is up to but 20+ points out of 30 will let him off unless it goes pear shaped... I think andy cole is a good player but he's 34 and we really cant moved forward getting all these "old" players in for a few quid. There's plenty of money so there's no reason why we can't get a young striker in. Just look forward to his return as we are going to need him to get us into europe.
