Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric says the South Coast club are working 'tirelessly' to recruit more Premiership stars.
Since Harry Redknapp's arrival Pompey have been predictably busy in the transfer market, sealing a triple swoop for Tottenham's Sean Davis, Noe Pamarot and Pedro Mendes as they look to stave off fears of relegation.
Strikers Emmanuel Olisadebe and Benjani have also arrived from foreign shores, but Mandaric insists the club are now focusing their attentions on English football as time ticks by in the January transfer window.
The latest stars to be linked with a move to Fratton Park are Aston Villa's Lee Hendrie and Charlton goalkeeper Dean Kiely, and Mandaric has revealed that transfer manoeuvres are continuing at full pace.
"We're looking for experienced players from this country because there is no time to go searching abroad," said Mandaric.
"We're looking for two or three players and working tirelessly to get things done."
